An extraordinary rock star suffering from PTSD, with hearing sensitivity symptoms and phonophobia, struggles with the cacophony of his surroundings to get his voice back until he meets someone from a completely different world. After a car accident kills his beloved girlfriend, Beverly, an extraordinary rock star suffers from PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder). His senses are highly sharpened, and he is terrified by sounds including his own voice as he experiences increasing hearing sensitivity. Devastated and alone in the middle of a rainy night, Beverly is unable to handle everyday sounds keeping him awake and leading him to insomnia. Sounds become increasingly disturbing; people shout, cars crash, neighbors make love, dogs bark, and a girl plays the electric guitar. In an extreme mental state and like an automaton, he struggles to live day after day, unable to find his voice and block the cacophony out. Until one day he meets Maxime, a rock goddess.
